Robert Langdon, a Harvard professor, still wears the Mickey Mouse watch his parents gave him as a child. A mysterious package delivered offers him an unexpected chance to revisit his memories and see them from a different perspective.

Inspired by Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code, this brand film grew out of a connection I discovered years ago between the novel and the Apple Watch.

In the story, the password to Leonardo da Vinci’s cryptex is revealed to be “APPLE,” a key detail tied to the novel’s exploration of Isaac Newton and the famous falling apple. Another detail caught my attention: Robert Langdon, the Harvard professor, never takes off the Mickey Mouse watch his parents gave him as a child. Meanwhile, Mickey Mouse is also one of the Apple Watch’s iconic watch faces.

The cryptex, the Mickey Mouse watch and the Apple Watch became the three elements behind my creative concept. Connecting these details, I developed an original brand film that brings together the world of Dan Brown’s novel and Apple’s design in an unexpected way.
